The Zenith Class Elite New Vintage 1955 Chronometer is a delightful dress timepiece, whose vintage-inspired styling recalls past glories of the Zenith manufacture. In every detail, from the styling of the case, to the curved dial with its dauphine hands and triangular indices, this Zenith timepiece calls to mind an era of classicism and elegant understatement.
Manufactured from luxurious 18K rose gold, the case of the Zenith Class Elite New Vintage 1955 Chronometer measures 40mm in diameter; its thin polished bezel and gently curved sapphire crystal draws the eye to the expanses of the softly mesmerizing opaline dial, which is characterized by fine golden details, and impeccable clean styling. Standing proudly beneath the Arabic numeral 12, is the Zenith star and the inscription "chronometre" which silently announces the excellent qualities of the self-winding movement which ticks inside the case.
Manufactured by Zenith, the superb Elite 689 caliber has undergone 15 days of tests by the Controle Officiel Suisse des Chronometres (COSC); during this time, the movement is exposed to various temperature and position changes, and it must perform within a narrow range of values to earn the title of "Swiss chronometer". A sapphire crystal window in the caseback allows a full view of this caliber's fine aesthetic refinements, which include circular Cotes de Geneve decor on the bridges, and a fine guilloche pattern on the central rotor.
The Zenith Class Elite New Vintage 1955 Chronometer watch will be produced in a limited edition of 250 pieces. Each watch is completed by a luxurious alligator strap and an 18K gold triple-deployant clasp which is decorated with the Zenith star. |
