The Excalibur Chronograph watch is offered by Roger Dubuis in stainless steel. Measuring 39mm in diameter, the unmistakable Roger Dubuis Excalibur watch case is bold and daring, yet sensually delightful with its many fine aesthetic details. The dial of this timepiece, presented in either black or silver soleil, features large, sophisticated Roman numerals, and a peripheral section with the tachymetric scale; the dauphine-style hands are crafted from white gold, or blued steel.
As one of the most autonomous Manufactures in the haute horlogerie sector, Roger Dubuis has distinguished themselves with their extensive array of exquisite manufacture movements. The Excalibur Chronograph watch is animated by one of the company's newest introductions, the RD 79. Comprised of 328 hand-finished components, the RD-79 caliber is wound via the motions of the wearers wrist, thanks to a massive platinum micro-rotor.
The chronograph complication, controlled by a column wheel, features a flyback function, that enables the central chronograph hand to be resent to zero without the necessity of first stopping it. Each component of the RD 79 movement has been finished with Cotes de Geneve, perlage, or anglage chamfering, and the column wheel is covered with a blued-steel cap. The screws are all finely polished and the settings for both jewels and screws feature painstaking bevels. Additionally, this new Roger Dubuis movement features a balance wheel that is supported on a bridge, giving it maximal stability.
Due to its traditional materials and meticulous finish, this movement proudly bears the coveted Geneva Quality Hallmark (Geneva Seal), the most prestigious official distinction in the world of haute horlogerie. The Roger Dubuis Excalibur Chronograph watch is offered in either a case made entirely from stainless steel, or one made from a combination of steel and titanium. Both versions are completed by a finely detailed rubber strap which has a richly crafted deployant clasp marked with the Roger Dubuis brand signature. |
