The Olsen Twins: Tiny Girls, GIANT Accessories!

Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen have been in front of the camera almost all of their lives. First on the hit TV series Full House, then as pint sized detectives in their video series The Adventures of Mary-Kate and Ashley. They have been on the big screen both separately and together, and together they run their own business, Dualstar Entertainment. By the age of 21, they have become and industry unto themselves. Just prior to their 21 birthdays, Forbes magazine named the Olsen twins as Hollywood’s top-earning stars under the age of 21. In 2006, Mary-Kate and Ashley made and estimated $40 million from their clothing line aimed at ‘tweens’ (8-12 year olds). These girls are big on business.
Business acumen aside, these tiny twins now seem to make headlines for their day to day fashion…or lack thereof. These girls LOVE to shop and especially love their over-sized accessories: handbags, glasses, jewelry …even their coffee is oversized! Pictured here on a recent shopping outing together in Beverly Hills, the girls are each seen carrying an enormous handbag, and each are wearing oversized cocktail rings. Is it possible that these are normal sized accessories on particularly small framed girls?
Recently Mary-Kate Olsen wrote and article in the Sunday New York Times insert magazine, declaring her brand loyalty and love for Chanel handbags. In the article she states “When I find a bag I like, I tend to wear it to death until I become obsessed with another one.” Well, she must be taking a break from Chanel, as her obsession du-jour is her black Prada Fringe leather handbag. She is however wearing Chanel gladiator sandals, so perhaps she is still being loyal to her brand.
