It is really happening. Three years after we said our teary goodbye’s to HBO’s smash hit, Sex and the City, a big screen version will soon be coming to a theater near you. And when I say BIG, I mean, Mr. Big, and the full cast. Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Cattrall, Cynthia Nixon, Kristin Davis, and of course Mr. Big himself, Chris Noth, have all signed on and are currently filming in New York. Once again, we will get a larger than life version of New York life and style, as seem through the eyes of award winning costume designer Patricia Fields.
Think the conversations and fashions from the TV episodes were over the top? The movie version looks like it will not disappoint either. Seen here, the girls are on set about to start filming. Talk about a BIG comeback – everything you see here is BIG! Big handbags, big earrings, big bracelets, big belts. Product placement heaven! Of course, statement clothing, oversize bags and high style have always been the bread and butter of Sex and the City. Isn’that half the reason women tune in? Isn’t that how Manolo Blahnik became a household name? If this scene is any indication, our inner fashionista will not be let down!
