Rachel Weisz: All I want for Christmas is…Jewelry!
|
Artists love a blank canvas. On a blank canvas, potential is unlimited, and anything is possible. Fashion designers often consider working with black and/or white fabrics to be a blank canvas as well. Often a black dress can showcase a dramatic piece of jewelry, or a white gown can show off a suntan, stunning shoes or an upswept hairdo. Seen here, Rachel Weisz seems to be a work unfinished…that is, wearing unrealized potential.
Rachel Weisz is an Academy award winning actress (she won Best Actress in The Constant Gardener), as well as a spokesperson for both Revlon cosmetics, and fashion house Burberry. She is currently promoting her new holiday movie, Fred Claus, which also stars Vince Vaughn and Paul Giamatti. Rachel Weisz also happens to be close friends with fashion designer Narciso Rodriguez, who designed the dress she is wearing here, at the premier for Fred Claus. Does it not look as though she forgot to put on her jewelry? Perhaps in the sprit of her movie, she is hoping Santa will come and deliver her something sparkly? To this eye, her look just seems unfinished. She has worn jewelry in the past: earrings, necklaces, bracelets, and worn them well! Why not on this day?
Do you think her beautiful gown looks incomplete without jewelry? What would you choose for her?
Need your help on this one.
