Prince Ernst of Hanover: Minding his Manners

Not sure who Prince Ernst of Hanover is? That could be because when he is minding his manners, he rarely makes the news. His Royal Highness the Prince of Hanover (Germany), is not only a cousin of Queen Elizabeth, but is also the third and current husband of Princess Caroline of Monaco. For all his status, impeccable contacts and access to one of Germany’s oldest fortunes, Ernst has a way of making the news for all the wrong reasons. In the past he has been fined for assaulting journalists, beating up disco managers and publicly urinating outside the Turkish pavilion during Expo 2000 in Hanover.
Seen here, Prince Ernst is looking low key and mild mannered while lunching in a Rome bistro, with his wife Princess Caroline. The two royals were in Rome to attend the celebration of fashion designer Valentino’s 45 years of success in the fashion industry. Clearly, Ernst is leaving the high fashion to his wife as he looks a bit rumpled in his french blue shirt, and Fortis B-42 Marinemaster Chronograph. Perhaps this is how a Prince needs to dress to remain outside of the watchful eye of the media!
