Nicole Kidman and Hugh Jackman: Down Under and All Over!

You might be wondering why it is we are seeing so much of Nicole Kidman and Hugh Jackman these days. Sure, Nicole and husband Keith Urban just had a baby, and yes, they recently attended the Country Music Awards. Hugh Jackman is fresh off his Tony winning performance in Broadway’s The Boy from Oz, and of course, has just been named 2008’s Sexiest Man Alive by People magazine. Then there is their new movie called Australia; both Kidman and Jackman have recently been on every TV show from Oprah to Letterman to ‘chin wag’ about the Aussie film.
Australia is the latest epic film from director Baz Luhrmann, and it is already being compared to classics such as Gone with the Wind and Out of Africa. Part historical, part romantic and part adventure, the film took Nicole Kidman and Hugh Jackman to their homeland to film the eponymous story. While Baz Luhrmann spent an astonishing $130 million dollars making this film, Australians have invested high hopes that the movie will reinvigorate tourism in their country. With Nicole Kidman and Hugh Jackman getting so much attention in the media these days, they will no doubt give the box office a big boost.
Seen here at the Australia premiere in Sydney, Nicole Kidman looks beautiful in her white L’Wren Scott sequin and feather sheath dress. Adding some ice to her hot style, Nicole is wearing a diamond bracelet on each wrist, each one dangling with multiple icicle-style strands of diamonds. (Curiously, Nicole also wore double fisted bracelets to the New York premiere. Perhaps she is honoring Coco Chanel? After all Kidman was a Chanel spokesmodel and made a 30 minute Chanel commercial with Baz Luhrmann) Also at the premiere, Hugh Jackman in his navy suit, proving that no accessories are necessary when you are the Sexiest Man Alive!
