Leonardo Di Caprio Grows Up!

Gone are the days of Titanic and boyish good looks: Leonardo Di Caprio is now officially a man in Hollywood. He must be, given the heavy hitters lining up to sign him and work with him. 2006 was a great year for Leo: first portraying an undercover cop, opposite Jack Nicholson in the Departed (directed by Martin Scorsese no less), then he moved on to play a diamond smuggler in the controversial thriller Blood Diamond. Rumor has it he could get nominated for both roles!
He’s no slouch between roles either. He may be one of the biggest activists in Hollywood when it comes to the environment. He drives a Prius, counts Al Gore as one of his friends, and speaks out openly against the Bush Administration’s policies. All the while he manages to never be without a supermodel girlfriend!
Here is Leonardo looking very much the grown up at the premier of Blood Diamond. Do you think he is believable as an adult in his current starring roles? For which of Leonardo DiCaprio’s roles is he most deserving of an Academy award?
