Kate Moss: Top Style!

Kate Moss’s name is almost synonymous with modeling and style in the 1990’s. After an era of supermodels defined by Cindy Crawford and Claudia Schiffer, Kate moss ushered in a new look for models in the 90’s (the waifish look), as well as a new descriptor in the supermodel vernacular (heroin chic), for better or for worse!
After nearly 20 years of modeling for fashion giant Calvin Klein, and jewelers such as David Yurman, Bvlgari and H. Stern, Kate Moss made her first foray into clothing design in 2007, when she began designing a clothing collection for UK fashion house Topshop. Recently Topshop launched their first ever stand alone store in New York City. This grand new location has 200 employees, 32 changing rooms, a DJ booth and a shoe lounge. They are certainly anticipating Americans will embrace the TOP UK styles!
Seen here arriving at the Topshop NY grand opening, Kate Moss wears a limited edition emerald green ‘fairy tale’ silk maxi dress, from her own collection, and a dark gray leather jacket. Proving diamonds are a girl’s best friend; Kate accessorized her gown with diamond chandelier earrings, three diamond rings (including a sizable oval diamond ring) and a diamond bangle bracelet. Following the grand opening, Kate Moss joined revelers Jenifer Lopez, Marc Anthony and Topshop owner Sir Philip Green, at famed New York eatery Balthazar, for a celebratory dinner.
