There was a time when Jennifer Lopez was everywhere: TV, movies, print ads, radio. Let’s face it, she is an industry unto herself, having the triple threat of singing, dancing and acting, not to mention her business efforts including her own fashion lines, perfume lines and restaurants. She even appeared in print ads for Louis Vuitton! A few years ago though, she was in danger of being almost OVER exposed, for her personal life rather than her professional successes. Who can forget Jennifer and then-fiancee Ben Affleck’s trip to McDonald’s in their brand new $300,000 Bentley? Well, long gone are those days for Jennifer Lopez. In fact, she is so dedicated to a fresh start, she has dropped the nickname “JLO” all together!
These days, Jennifer Lopez leads a much more low-key lifestyle, with husband of 3 years, Marc Anthony. Gone are the outrageous outfits, and ever present stalkerazzi. Instead, she is working hard, and living peacefully at home in Miami – well out of the ever present glare of Hollywood.
Jennifer’s latest project, the film El Cantante seems to showcase well her new life. El Cantante celebrates the life and music of legendary salsa singe Hector Lavoe. Jennifer Lopez not only stars alongside her husband Marc, but they perform all of the music on the soundtrack. Jennifer also wore the hat of producer for this film! As both Jennifer and Marc are of Puerto Rican decent, this project has been an especially passionate one for them.
The new and improved low-key Jennifer Lopez is seen here while out for coffee in New York. In her jeans and casual blouse, she looks chic and understated. Not entirely Jenny from the Block, but Jenny on the Down Low for sure! Jennifer Lopez still manages to glam up her look with the simple addition of her fashionable over-sized hoop earrings. Even dressed down, she remains stylish, proving she has not turned a blind eye to her love of fashion!
