Jennifer Hudson: Shining Star!

Have you seen Jennifer Hudson lately? You may have noticed that she seems to be EVERYWHERE these days! And for good reason: Her star is on the rise!
Once known as the crowd favorite cast off before her time on American Idol, Hudson quickly proved to be an amazing actress. Jennifer Hudson actually won the Academy Award for Best Actress for her turn as Effie White, in the 2006 film Dreamgirls…and it was her first film EVER! For her next role, Hudson played the hopeful romantic (not to mention scene stealing) Louise; assistant to Carrie Bradshaw, in the film version of Sex and the City. It seems Jennifer Hudson’s road to the top has been at warp speed!
Recently, Jennifer Hudson has made the news and magazine covers for a trio of reasons: Her debut album Jennifer Hudson has just been released to rave reviews, her new film The Secret Life of Bees opens October 17th (generating a new round of Oscar buzz) and Jennifer recently became engaged to boyfriend of one year, David Otunga. It doesn’t seem as though Jennifer Hudson’s rising star is showing any signs of slowing down!!!!!
Seen here at a recent premiere of her film The Secret Life of Bees, Jennifer is wearing an olive colored Grecian gown with black velvet bowed sash, from the Pre-Fall Collection of design house, Lanvin. She complemented her gown with jewels from H. Stern. Ms. Hudson is wearing diamond and noble gold star shaped drop earrings, from the H. Stern Star collection (how appropriate!) and a yellow gold cuff bracelet from the brand’s Celtic collection. Jennifer Hudson has been a fan of H. Stern jewelry for some time now and regularly wears their pieces to her premieres and award shows. In fact, the brand even made its way into her fictional life: As Louise in Sex and the City, the character’s prize possession was a “Love” key chain, custom made by H. Stern. Jennifer Hudson certainly seems to have some love for the H. Stern Brand!
While she may not have become America’s Idol, wouldn’t you say she has quickly become America’s Sweetheart?
