The Glashutte Original WhiteCrystal watch is a stunning creation of horological luxury. The heft and luster of 18K white gold accentuates the icy beauty of the WhiteCrystal watch. Measuring 39.4mm in diameter, it features an alluring contrast between brushed and polished surfaces, as well as a delicate pattern of engraving on the sides; a domed sapphire crystal spans the dial, offering superb and graceful protection from any scratches. 64 round brilliants encircle the bezel, providing a magnificent frame for the sublime 18K gold dial with its embossed radiating pattern; round brilliant diamonds encircle the off-center time display and small seconds subdial, and contribute to the atmosphere of fantasy. The right side of the dial features an elegant power reserve indicator, and an oval window that reveals the distinctive and easily legible panorama date display.
Ticking inside the Glashutte Original WhiteCrystal watch is the exclusive Caliber 65-01. A sapphire crystal window allows an expansive glimpse into this beautiful mechanism, which boasts a rich array of traditional Glashutte decorative techniques. The three-quarter plate gleams with a striped finish, and a shimmering constellation of blued steel screws; four of the 48 jewels in the movement are held in gold chatons. The graceful floral engravings upon the escape wheel cock and balance bridge are individually executed by hand, as is the fine polishing work upon the eye-catching duplex swan neck springs that sit on either side of the balance wheel. This spectacular feature is not only beautiful, it serves a technical purpose--these swan neck devices permit a watchmaker to carefully fine tune both the rate and beat of the movement. The large balance wheel, outfitted with 18 weighted gold screws upon its rim, ticks 28,800 times each hour. Fully wound, the movement offers a power reserve of approximately 42 hours.
The Glashutte Original WhiteCrystal watch is completed by a crisp white strap crafted from fine Louisiana alligator leather. A polished 18K white gold buckle, adorned with 22 round brilliant diamonds, affixes the watch to the wrist securely and elegantly. |
