The Glashutte Original NightShade Tourbillon watch enriches the manufacturer's luxurious and fanciful Star Collection with one of the most exalted of complications. A dazzling union of watchmaking virtuosity and the zenith of the jewelers art, this Glashutte Original timepiece is certainly a showpiece of showpieces.
The NightShade Tourbillon watch is crafted from 18K white gold and features a bezel that blazes with 44 baguette diamonds; the distinctively shaped white gold crown is also topped with a single diamond. The black dial is artistically set with 107 round brilliant diamonds, whose form takes on the appearance of a glittering star which radiates outwards from the panorama date window. Another fifteen diamonds mark the hours on the decentralized time display; beneath this is the intricate flying tourbillon, whose design is in accordance with the principles laid down by famed Glashutte watchmaker, Alfred Helwig. The masterfully crafted cage completes a revolution on its axis once each minute, while the seconds are shown simultaneously via a small pointer affixed to the tourbillon. An exotic leather strap in black galuchat and a diamond-set white gold buckle adds to the ethereal beauty of this very special timepiece.
The Glashutte Original NightShade Tourbillon watch is animated by the self-winding 93-1 caliber. This horological prodigy--manufactured by Glashutte Original--epitomizes the best in the historical Saxon watchmaking tradition. Its luxurious finishing, which includes Glashutte striping, blued screws, and meticulous beveling, can be admired through a sapphire crystal exhibition window in the caseback. |
