With their recent addition of the Richeville Lady collection, Girard Perregaux has become a serious competitor in the ladies timepiece segment. The Richeville Lady Watch collection was designed with a women’s wrist in mind. The Tonneau (Or barrel in French) shaped case not only looks better on a woman’s wrist but it fits better as well. Girard Perregaux was careful to take the shape of the case ad extend the horns that bracket the strap to taper onto the wrist. This design gives the Richeville Lady a bracelet like feel and ensures that the watch forms better to the owner’s wrist.
Girard Perregaux offers the Richeville Lady collection in either an automatic or quartz version. We recommend the quartz version for women who don’t want the worry of an automatic winding watch. GP has designed five different versions of the Richeville Lady. There are two versions with a mother of pearl dial and diamonds. Both versions have diamond markers at twelve, three, six and nine o’clock which give the watch a simplified look of elegance. The bezel and horns contain pave set diamonds which make this Richeville Lady watch easy to wear to any formal event.
GP’s designers used an oversized whimsical font for the four hour markers on the dial. If you want a simpler version of this mother of pearl dial GP offers two in stainless steel. The first has a pink leather strap and pink dial with a date window at 2 o’clock. The second is an all stainless steel version with a blue dial. For the more conservative buyers we recommend the rose gold version with a white guilloche dial and Roman numeral markers.
