Eva Longoria makes bad look good

My mother once told me (in a little old lady voice) “match your belt with your shoes and don’t mix patterns. If you stick to those rules, and you will always look presentable”.
I remember the day I thought it would look good to wear a plaid tie with a paisley shirt. I looked in the mirror and immediately realized I had made a HUGE mistake. It looked horrible. I then reflected on the advice my dear mother gave me so long ago and quickly put it to work.
I swore to myself I would never try to match patterns again… ever.
So, what kills me is that genetically superior individuals can go and break the most basic of all fashion rules and look absolutely stunning doing it. It’s just not fair.
Take this photo of Eva Longoria who is wearing a heavily patterned ultra-gold and white dress with a seventies brown plaid “Sherlock Homes” car coat. Any normal person would get laughed out of Barney’s trying to pull this look off.
Only someone like Eva Longoria could get away with making this outfit look glamorous.
Her outfit is perfectly finished with pair of dangle earrings that brings just the right amount of “bling”.
Need your help on this one.
