The Chopard Mille Miglia is a true sports car lover’s watch. Chopard designed this watch to honor the famous Mille Miglia race. The Mille Miglia is a 1,000 km race that takes place in Italy every summer. The race course stretches from Rome to Presca and back to Rome. Chopard has been designing and manufacturing the Mille Miglia edition watches since 1988. Each year Chopard designs a Mille Miglia specifically for that year’s race. The race showcases historic race cars from around the world.

The Mille Miglia a classic round case with a Tachymeter bezel. This watch is available in a chrono version and an automatic version. The dial treatments are very handsome. Chopard has designed a dial that features a circular guilloche treatment on the subdials. This treatment enhances the race car feel of the watch.  The Dial is easy to read as it has luminous marks and hands and a glareproof crystal. The date window is cleanly tucked away between the four and five o’clock hour markers.

Chopard has offers several different dial color combinations. Our favorite is the white dial with black sub dials. There is also an all black dial version. The Mille Miglia Racing Colors limited edition series includes five versions with different dial colors: yellow, gray, black, red and blue. Each Mille Miglia watch has the race log applied in red on the seconds sub dial. One of the most unique features of this watch is the strap design. Chopard has designed a 1960’s style leather racing strap with round holes cut into the strap. Even more unique is the natural black rubber strap with a 1960’s Dunlop Racing tire design.
