Renee Zellweger has dynamic range. As an actress, she has appeared in numerous films, showing incredible versatility and talent. For a sampling, you need look no further than the 3 films for which Renee was nominated for Academy awards. Her flawless British accent in 2001’s "Bridget Jones’s Diary" (not to mention her very real 20+ pound weight gain) earned a best actress nomination. Her role as Roxie Hart in 2003’s film version of the musical "Chicago" saw her nominated again…and who even knew she could sing or dance? Finally, in 2004, Renee Zellweger won the Academy award for best actress, for her fierce portrayal of Ruby Thewes in the civil war epic "Cold Mountain." It would seem this girl can do it all!
Recently Renee Zellweger was the recipient of the 2007 Crystal and Lucy Award, honoring women in film and television, in recognition of her many talents. In Beverly Hills to receive the award, Renee is seen here looking every bit the glamorous film star. A dedicated muse to her favorite fashion designer Carolina Herrera, she is wearing a strapless cream silk knee length dress, accented with black lace and ribbon. With her close cropped pixie cut and fresh face, Renee likes to keep her look simple. She wears no earrings, but is wearing a knockout diamond cocktail ring on her forefinger, and a substantial rose cut diamond bracelet. Both pieces look as though they are from Fred Leighton. Renee Zellweger truly is the Belle of the Ball!
