Nicolas Cage: Treasures his Collections

Nicolas Cage is a man who likes to collect things. An avid fan of comic books, he sees them as today’s version of mythology. He is such a fan of comics, that at a young age, he even changed his last name from Coppola to Cage. In 1992 Nicolas Cage told Jay Leno on The Tonight Show, that he named himself after Luke Cage, a character made famous by Marvel comics in the 1970’s, who was considered to be the ‘first black superhero’. Keeping heroism in the family, Nicolas Cage named his son Kal-El Coppola Cage, after Superman’s own true moniker, Kal El.
Comic books are not the only passion of Nicolas Cage. He collects Elvis memorabilia; even going so far as to marry the King’s daughter Lisa Marie Presley in 2002. He is an avid collector of cars, and is said to have a Lamborghini that once belonged to the Shah of Iran. Nicolas Cage is also a collector of fine watches, and often showcases interesting timepieces in his films.
