Brooke Shields knows it’s a jungle out there. Having grown up in the entertainment industry both in front of the camera and on stage, she has lived her life before our very eyes. Having conquered the world of modeling, film, television and theater, she has proven herself to be a strong woman. She has even taken on public battles with the media, stalkers and even Tom Cruise! Fortunately though, she is now taking on a different kind of jungle all together…that is, a Lipstick Jungle!
Lipstick Jungle is a new series from Sex and the City creator Candace Bushnell. It will soon be premiering on NBC, and will go head to head with another Sex and the City alum, Darren Star’s similarly themed, Cashmere Mafia. Both series follow the lives of high powered female friends, as they weather the ups and downs of corporate and personal life in New York City. Brooke Shields will play a character named Wendy, a powerful movie executive. She is perfectly cast, as a driven and beautiful woman…no acting required!
Recently Brooke Shields attended the 2007 Quill awards, for excellence in publishing. You may recall Brooke had her own book “Down Came the Rain” published just few years ago. Seen here at the event, she is dressed in a simple black sheath dress, but has added serious star power to her look, with her jewelry. She is wearing two antique diamond and yellow gold bangles that are absolute show stoppers. Her diamond dangle earrings also appear to be vintage pieces. Brooke seems armed and ready to face a Lipstick Jungle!
Would it be too ironic for Brooke Shields to be wearing tennis bracelets instead of bangles? Fault!
