Corum Congratulates Ben Ainslie for his amazing achievement winning his third consecutive Olympic Medal.

Ben has become one of the greatest sailors being the second most decorated sailor at the Olympics ever. Only 31 years old, Ben Ainslie has already collected major records. This unique sportsman is the two-time ISAF World Sailor of the Year, adding this new gold metal to three existing Olympic medals. An impression collection that also includes many World Championship titles.

Ben Ainslie won the gold medal by an incredible 22 points. In four out of the nine races sailed, he turned a middle or low top ten result into a race winning position on the downwind legs.

On Saturday August 16th, Ben Ainslie was guaranteed at least the silver medal. In the Finn Fleet, on Sunday, August 17th in the Medal Race, Ben started as a favorite to defend his Olympic crown, holding the 12 point overall lead ahead of the surprise star of the Finn fleet, Zach Railey of the USA.

Corum's Support of Ben

Ben is at the peak of his career. At 31 years old, he has many more competitions to go. Corum will support Ben in achieving new challenges and will set his achievement as an example worldwide.

Antonio Calce, Corum CEO, is very proud to declare about Ben:

"With his maturity, charisma, modesty and determination to succeed he reflects many of Corum's values. His outstanding achievement is the key message that we share together. More then an ambassador, Ben is a highly generous person that is one of the brands friends."

During the intense race to success, Ben wears the Admiral's Cup Tides watch. He was won over by this watch because the model combines both a world-exclusive complication and an indispensable sailing instrument.
