Once again, the sun is shining on the Cannes Film Festival, and this year, it could be two American film stars shining the brightest light of all on the event: Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt. While these two recent and perhaps short term residents of France seem to cause a frenzy wherever they go, their recent outing in Cannes garnered a different kind of attention. During a press conference for Jolie’s animated film Kung Fu Panda, co-star Jack Black inadvertently announced to the world that the glamorous couple was in fact expecting twins. Double the Brangelina madness!
It hasn’t been just the baby talk that has the crowd seeing double either. Angelina Jolie is in Cannes promoting not just one, but two films. The lighthearted Dreamworks animated feature Kung Fu Panda, stars Jolie as a Master Tigress, and has an all star cast including Jack Black, Lucy Liu, Dustin Hoffman and Jackie Chan. As the first of the two Angelina Jolie movies to be screened at the festival, it has won rave reviews.
The second film Ms Jolie is promoting in Cannes, is Changeling, directed by Clint Eastwood. In this dramatic film Angelina plays a mother fighting a corrupt police department while her young son has gone missing. The film received a standing ovation at its premiere in Cannes, and there is already Oscar buzz surrounding Jolie’s performance and Clint’s direction. Angelina Jolie is really two for two in Cannes!
Seen here walking the red carpet at the Kung Fu Panda premiere, the dynamic duo of Jolie and Pitt is quite a vision. The very pregnant looking Jolie wore a green Grecian style gown by Max Azria Atelier. Angelina enhanced her look with two vintage yellow gold and diamond bangle bracelets and yellow gold and diamond earrings, all from Bulgari. While she doesn’t often wear jewelry, Angelina Jolie does tend to favor Bulgari pieces for the red carpet. Her shoes? What would you expect from a mother of four, with two more on the way? Louboutins? Nope, Angelina is wearing Cole Haan with Nike air! Only Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt can pull off glamour AND comfort like this!
