America Ferrera: Stylish Betty!

America Ferrera has turned the tables on her uber-glamorous co-stars from Ugly Betty. At the 59th Annual Emmy awards earlier this week, America Ferrera not only shined, she topped most of the Best Dressed lists for the night! Meantime, her typically stylish co-stars, did not fair so well.
America Ferrera was a winner before actually receiving the award for best Actress in a Comedy, for Ugly Betty. She looked every bit a winner right there on the red carpet. Pictured here, she wore a cobalt blue strapless column gown by Monique Lhuillier, with rusching all the way down. The dress had a jeweled waistline, showing off America’s curves. She topped off her look with platinum and diamond chandelier earrings from Martin Katz, and a diamond ring. This Betty has come a long way from braces and bushy eyebrows!
Minimal jewelry was really the trend of the evening at the Emmy awards. Very few women wore necklaces, keeping the neckline open instead. Do you think America Ferrera’s ensemble would have looked even better with the addition of a diamond necklace?
