Allison Janney is a hard working woman. She works from 9 to 5 and she does it 8 times a week! Nominated for a Tony in Dolly Parton’s Broadway production of 9 to 5: The Musical, that is!
Allison seems equally at ease on stage, the big screen and on television. It seems that nearly every time she takes on a role, she wins awards for it! Having won 3 Emmy’s for her portrayal of C.J. Cregg on The West Wing, she has been nominated for awards in films such as Juno and Hairspray, and was recently nominated for the second time, for a Tony for 9 to 5. Is there anything Allison Janney can’t do?
At the recent Tony Awards, Allison Janney looked positively radiant on the red carpet. Her strapless deep purple gown by designer Gustavo Cadile was an inspired choice – her character in 9 to 5 is named Violet! Allison also wore a diamond bangle bracelet and long yellow diamond dangle earrings from Lorraine Schwartz, and she was the picture of elegance that evening.
